[ ZoneAlarm 프로그램은? ]

ZoneAlarm 은 초고속통신 사용자(xDSL 사용자나 케이블 모뎀 사용자)들을 해커로부터 보호하기위해 만들어진 프로그램이다. 이 프로그램은 a firewall, an Application Control, an Internet Lock, and Zones 등 4가지가 상호연동되어 작용한다.

방화벽기능(firewall)은 사용자의 pc에 문지기 역할을 하며 처음 접속한 믿을 만한 곳과 정보를 교환하도록 통제하는 역할을 한다.

지원제어기능(Application Control)은  pc 사용자가 인터넷 이용시 어떠한 내용을 해야하는지 하지 말아야 하는지를 제시한다.

인터넷잠금기능(Internet Lock)은 pc 사용자가 의도하지 않았거나 또는 사용하고 있지 않은 상태에서 pc의 스크린세이버의 작동과 동시 또는 일정시간 작동이 멈춘 후 자동적으로 인터넷이 작동되는 등의 상황을 감시한다.

죤감시기능(Zones monitor)은 인터넷 사용시 사용자의 pc에 접근되는 모든 새로운 기능이나 시도들을 감시한다. 또한 이 프로그램은 이메일을 통해 감염되는 바이러스 등으로부터 보호하는 기능도 첨부되어 있다.
